Short and long-term flow monitoring wastewater treatment plants, sewer and water lines.

Operate in the field, by maintained guidance and supervision of field technician crews, by planning detailed work instructions, positive objectives and developing realistic goals and diagnosed, troubleshoot and solving conflicts for results. Reference of S&WB maps for underground locations of sewer, water and drainage lines for creation of as-built drawings for field inspection and redlines status. Measure and modified civil drawings and taking photographs in the field.  Capable of climbing down steep ladders and lifting and carry at least up to 50 lbs. for and the dexterity to work inside a manhole for extended periods.

Interacted and maintain neighborhood relations on a daily basis in remote and challenging urban locations. Answering inquiries, concerns, communicated effectively on project progress and technical aspects of projects as related to testing within the field. Worked outside of normal hours (ie: shift work), weekends when needed and meet the target time given to complete task. Projects:                                              

1.      Sewerage and Water Board of Orleans Parish

Dye water testing involve the surrounding metropolitan infrastructure within sections of 7th and 8th wards and both lower and upper 9th wards.  Field investigation, include taking dimensions, digital photograph and field sketching of existing installations as pertain to possible seepage contamination beyond the sewer line and whatever possible storm water drainage system, caused by corrosion of pipe lines and subsidence of soils inundated sewer culverts and manholes. Assisted company president and project manager in QA/QC process and plan review.

Emphasis on field safety to develop and followed established OSHA-related and Interra Hydro, Inc. company safety procedures.

2.      Jefferson Parish Publicworks

Inflow/infiltration study of Jefferson Parish wastewater treatment facility, waste lift-stations and pump stations. Portable installation and disconnect of electronic monitors for daily and weekly log and record data samples of drainage and the sub surface piping flow.

Identify and isolate sources of inflow/infiltration by forcing non-toxic smoke testing throughout sanitary sewer lines. Maintained hands on client, customer and neighborhood relations during field testing.

5.      Prototype Design Project:

Weighed support on company president’s sketches for a prototype concept. Developed and turned those sketches into a modified detail design, developed and prepared 3D assembly design packages. This involved detail drafting, solid modeling, surface modeling, exploded views, sectional profiles and rendering of components of hardware monitor attachments.
